Ask the Reference Desk

This desk is an AI assistant. It follows Dr. Bob Zybach's published research method. It is not Bob, and he has not checked its answers.

Ask about the history of a piece of land, where old records live, or how the research method works. The desk answers from Dr. Zybach’s published words (Coquelle Trails was written with Don Ivy), the records directory and this site’s own notes, and it lists its sources. It would rather tell you the record is silent than guess where the corner post went.

How the desk works: How we research explains the method it follows, and the report card shows how it scores on practice questions worked by hand.
